Monica Tiu, DDS

As a dentist herself, Dr. Tiu understands what the practicing dentist needs and will customize a suitable level of sedation.

Originally from Maryland, Dr. Monica Tiu returned to the Washington, D.C. area after practicing in New York City for 10 years. In addition to working as a general dentist, she has extensive training in IV sedation and general anesthesia to treat anxious, pediatric, special needs, and medically complex patients.

Aside from providing mobile anesthesia services for other dental professionals, Dr. Tiu is an Assistant Clinical Instructor at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore. There she enjoys teaching pre-doctorate students and post-doctorate pediatric, periodontic, and oral maxillofacial surgery residents. She also lectures for continuing education courses.  In the past, she taught at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and was a dental anesthesiology attending at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center.

To keep her skills and knowledge current, Dr. Tiu continues to attend diverse courses in both dentistry and anesthesiology.
